The M4 SOCOM Castle Nut is a modified, beefier, upgraded version of the original AR15 receiver lock nut. Measuring just over half an inch long, the M4 SOCOM Castle nut also adds an addition .045 inches of thickness to the walls. The SOCOM M4 lock nut can be used for other collapsible stocks in place of the original. Check with manufacturer for details. Use a spanner wrench for installation.
